Research Paper, Inquiries JournalThis paper examines Susan Youssef’s 2011 film Habibi Rasak Kharban as an adaptation of the Arabic folk tale Layla and Majnun, focusing on the film’s intertextual criticism of the dehumanizing nature of occupation.
